A dashed line marks the average over the window.
- ✨Graph Comparison puts up to three companies on the same axes, one panel per metric: total return, revenue growth, P/E, EV/EBIT, P/S or profit margin. Each ticker keeps its colour across every panel, so the line that leads on returns is the same line you can find on margins.
- ✨Neither number is quoted from a feed - there is no endpoint for "P/E as it stood on this day". Each multiple is rebuilt daily from the closing price over the trailing twelve months of fundamentals reported by then, so a line steps at earnings and drifts with the share price in between. Multiples are drawn on a log axis and returns on a symmetric-log one, because a single quarter at 200x - which is what a company printing its first profit after a loss looks like - flattens four years of an ordinary linear chart into an unreadable band.
- ✨Both pages offer 6M, YTD, 1Y, 2Y and 3Y. Three years is the ceiling rather than an arbitrary stop: the quarterly filings behind these ratios run twenty quarters deep and a trailing-twelve-month sum spends the first four, so a longer window would open on a stretch of empty chart.
