Legislators have until August 31 to pass it, and if approved, the Governor has until September 30 to sign it into law. This market will resolve to "Yes" if SB 1047 AI safety bill becomes law by September 30, 2024, 11:59 PM PT. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the bill does not pass the state assembly by the end of their legislative session on August 31, this market will resolve to "No". Note that if the Governor vetoes the bill, the market will stay open until September 30 to allow for any potential overriding of the veto. If the bill doesn't pass by September 30, 2024, 11:59 PM PT this market will resolve to "No."
